Terms relating to use of Peer to Peer software

 

This form must be filled in, signed and dated by any end user wishing to user peer to peer file sharing utilities on the BISCit network.

 

Media copyright holders are monitoring very closely the usage of peer to peer file sharing utilities. If you are downloading or uploading any material that is copyrighted then the holder is entitled to take legal action against you. As your internet service provider we have also issued acceptable use policies (AUPs) that strictly prohibit such activity on your connection.

 

Completing this form indicates that you agree not to download or share any material that is not in the public domain unless you have explicit rights to it. You also acknowledge that should any allegation of copyright infringement be made against you, or against BISCIT, in relation to the use of your connection, that BISCit will cooperate fully with the copyright holder. This may include passing them your name, address and contact details, although, you will be advised of this course of action, and we would not provide such details unless obliged to do so by appropriate authority, and in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Furthermore you acknowledge BISCit’s AUPs (www.biscit.net/aup.html ) and understand that you are bound by them.
